The component is designed to secure submarine power cables to the cable deck of a wind turbine. The contract was awarded by German cable company Norddeutsche Seekabelwerke (NSW).
While Vos would not confirm which project it is supplying, due to commercial sensitivity, the description fits the 49.5MW Kentish Flats Extension.
NSW is installing the cables on this Vattenfall-developed project, which will feature 15 Vestas V112-3.3MW turbines.
Offshore cable installation is set to begin at the development in May, with the project due to come online later in 2015.
