The Rolls-Royce UT 776 CD vessel was constructed by Vard Group at its yard in Brevik, southern Norway. The NOK 400 million vessel's hull was manufactured in Romania.
The Island Condor vessel is Island Offshore's tenth vessel of this design to join its fleet. It has been built with the capacity to install a gangway system to enable walk-to-work facilities for offshore wind projects.
According to Island Offshore, the vessel also has a mezzanine deck for future ROV installation, "as well as special product tanks".
Last month, Island Offshore ordered another offshore support vessel from Vard, due for delivery in Q1 2016.
