It is the first order for Gamesa's G114-2.5MW low-wind turbine, which was unveiled at the AWEA conference in Chicago in 2013.
Gamesa will deliver six turbines to the Rammeldalsberget project, with delivery due in the first quarter of 2015. Commissioning is expected in 2016.
The G114-2.5MW turbine is based on the company's 2MW platform. At its launch, Gamesa said it could produce 29% more electricity than the G97 2MW.
The manufacturer said the deal is the third to be agreed with John Laing. Last year, Gamesa was contracted to supply turbines for a 20MW project in Sweden and a 15.5MW site in Scotland, UK.
At the WindEnergy conference in Hamburg this year, Gamesa launched another 2.5MW model with a 106-metre diameter rotor.
