Vestas will manufacture 26 V80-2MW turbines for the second phase of the 100MW Bayinzile project in northern China. They will be delivered in the third quarter of 2015.

In 2010, Vestas won the contract to supply 24 of the 2MW turbines for the first phase of the project.

The order includes a two-year servicing and maintenance agreement.

Last month, Vestas announced plans to "reinvigorate" its performance in the Chinese market by extending its product range and changing its servicing practices.

It said it would introduce the V100 and V110 2MW turbines into the market as China moves towards low- and medium-wind projects closer to the main population areas on the east coast.
