Neto, an economics graduate with a background in international banking, has been in the driving seat since 2012. The collapse of new wind energy construction in Spain and the boom-bust cycle of the US - EDPR's two biggest wind markets by far - have been top of Neto's list of things to worry about over the past year. The company has adapted by divesting assets in established markets and boosting its portfolio in emerging sectors, principally in Latin America and eastern Europe.
