The German turbine manufacturer will provide eight of its MM92 2MW turbines to the 16MW Grayton le Marsh development in Lincolnshire in the east of England. The project is being developed by Energiekontor, a wind developer with which Senvion has previously signed four UK supply deals.
Turbines are expected to be delivered to the site in September 2015, with commissioning due in May 2016. The contract includes a 15-year operations and maintenance arrangement.
Senvion will also install six MM82 2MW turbines on the Rhodders wind development in Clackmannanshire in central Scotland. The 12MW EDF Energy Renewables development will see construction start next summer, and be completed by August, Senvion said.
The manufcaturer has previously worked with EDF ER on 15 projects in the UK. This latest deal includes a two-year service contract.
The third project is the Holton wind development, which is to feature five MM82 2MW turbines and is being developed by Ventus Funds and managed by Temporis Capital, both private-equity investors. Construction is due to start on the 10MW project next spring and should be completed in the autumn.
This is the eighth contract that Senvion has entered into with a Ventus portfolio company and includes a 15-year operations and maintenance agreement.
