Vestas will supply 29 V100-2MW turbines to a project in the western province of Lubuskie. The Danish manufacturer expects to deliver the turbines in the first quarter of 2015, with commissioning due in the fourth quarter.
The contract includes foundation construction as well as the supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines, plus a two-year service agreement.
This project is a part of a framework agreement signed between EDF EN and Vestas for Europe and the US in 2011.
The agreement, covering deals from 2012 to 2014, arranged for EDF to order a minimum of 50% and 30% of its turbines for the US and Europe respectively from Vestas. Vestas said at the time that the deal had potential to deliver 2GW.
The Danish manufacturer has delivered 540 turbines in Poland, totalling more than 1.1GW.
