The UK cable specialist will supply its Teklink protection system to the project located 32 kilometres from the English east coast in the North Sea.

The CPS will be installed by VSMC, which was handed the cabling contract by the Norwegian developers in July.

Tekmar will manufacture the CPS at its new facility in north-east England.

VSMC and Tekmar previously worked together on the 288MW Meerwind Süd/Ost and 288MW Butendiek offshore projects, also in the North Sea.

Tekmar was also handed the contract to supply CPS to the 468MW Cape Wind in the US, set to be one of the country's first offshore projects.

Dudgeon will be made up of 67 of Siemens' SWT-6.0-154 6MW turbines when it is commissioned, currently planned for 2017.
