Tokyo-based Eurus Energy Group has acquired half of the IVPC Power 4 and IVPC Power 9 projects in Calabria, operated by Italian company Maluni.
The projects started operating in 2008 and 2009, and have a combined capacity of 31.15 MW. The first project has a capacity of 12.8MW from 15 Vestas 850kW turbines, while the latter has a capacity of 18.4MW from four Vestas 850kW turbines and five 3MW turbines.
The power is purchased by state-owned renewable energy company GSE.
Eurus and Maluni have been jointly operating wind projects in Campania and Puglia since 1996, and participation in the Calabrian projects brings Eurus' total generation capacity in Italy to 200MW.
The parties did not disclose financial terms.
