The company's pre-tax profits rose to EUR 31.7 million in the period, up from EUR 15 million last year.
The German turbine manufacturer announced that sales in the Americas rose 266% from EUR 32.7 million in the first six months of 2013 to EUR 119.8 million this year.
An increase was also seen in Europe and Asia, with total sales reaching EUR 815.4 million in the period, compared with EUR 660.6 million a year earlier.
The N117/2400 Generation Gamma turbine was the most popular turbine sold. It was responsible for 41% of all of Nordex's sales.
Firm orders increased 8.3% in the six-month period, totalling EUR 908.9 million. The Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region accounted for 90% of order intake.
Nordex installed 279 wind turbines globally, with a capacity of 667.3MW, up an equivalent of 19% year-on-year.
Its domestic market saw growth of 60% and more than 1.7GW of added onshore capacity. The Asian and American markets also saw a growth in installations.
