The company will start producing the 67 transition pieces for the 402MW development in the last quarter if 2015. They are expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2016.
These transition pieces will be fitted to the 67 monopile foundations on which Siemens 6MW turbines will be installed. A joint venture between Statoil and Statkraft is developing the project.
Smulders Projects has previously supplied the 88 transition pieces for the Sheringham Shoal development, also developed by Statoil and Statkraft.
Dudgeon is due to come online in 2017, and in April was awarded a subsidy package by the government under the newly introduced Contracts for Difference scheme. It is located 32 kilometres from the East Anglia coast.
Also, UK environmental services organisation Fugro EMU has been handed the contract to carry out an ecological survey of the seabed at the project.
