The German manufacturer will supply its N117/2400 and N117/3000 turbines to sites in the west and north-west of the country.

Nordex will supply seven N117 3MW turbines to the Odemis project near the city of Izmir on the west coast for Turkish developer Erdem Holding. It is the first time the company has operated in the wind sector.

The blades, towers and anchor cages will be produced in Turkey to qualify for higher feed-in tariffs.

The second order will see Nordex supply 11 N117 2.4MW turbines to the 30MW Edincik project, increasing it to 56.4MW. Local utility Edincik Enerji placed the order for the site on the south coast of Marmara Sea. Nordex previously supplied turbines to Edincik Enerji in 2010 and 2012.

Nordex will also supply seven N117 2.4MW to Bursa Temiz Enerji's 25MW Bandirma III project, also in the Marmara region, increasing its capacity to 41.8MW. It is the second time Nordex has supplied turbines for a Bursa Temiz Enerji wind project.
