Developer Dong Energy handed Technip the contract to install 42.5 kilometres of 33kV cables at the project, eight kilometres from the Yorkshire coast.
Technip's new CBT1100 Trencher will be used to carry out some of the work, with installation expected to conclude in the second half of 2014.
Together, the cables will handle the maximum 210MW that the wind farm will be able to produce from its 35 turbines.
Westermost Rough is set to be the first project to use the Siemens 6MW turbine on a commercial scale. All foundations have now been installed at the site and turbine installation is due to start at the end of the summer.
The project is expected to go online in 2015.
