The 210MW Dong Energy project will be made up of 35 Siemens 6MW turbines, 9 kilometres from the coast. GeoSea installed foundations that were made up of monopiles weighing between 500 and 810 tonnes, with a diameter of 6.5 metres, and transition pieces of around 367 tonnes.

The work was completed by the offshore wind installation vessel Innovation, which is 50% owned by GeoSea.

The vessel was loaded in Aalborg, Denmark, with five sets of monopiles and transition pieces, which were then transported 925 kilometres across the North Sea to be installed immediately at the site.

GeoSea also established a UK project office in the nearby Grimsby port. The secondary works on the foundations were executed from this base.
