NKT Cables, a subsidiary of Danish company NKT Holding, will deliver 200 kilometres of 220kV submarine cables to the site for installation by the early part of 2015.
The deal was confirmed after the consortium, led by Northland Power, reached financial close on the project last week. The project will utilise 150 Siemens 4MW turbines when it comes online, expected to be in 2017.
The cables will be manufactured at the company's Cologne factory. The order also includes the 35 kilometres of land cables required. Dutch contractor Van Oord, which was handed the EPC contract for Gemini last week, will install the cables.
In February, the cable manufacturer entered in to a 'Preparatory Works Agreement' with Gemini.
