Senvion signs 54MW France deal

FRANCE: Senvion (formally Repower) has signed a 54.45MW deal to supply 27 turbines to energy supplier Enertrag for four projects in northwest France.

Nine Senvion MM92 2.05MW turbines will be sent to the 18.45MW Renneville wind projects currently under construction in the Champagne-Ardenne region. The site is due to be completed by June 2014.

A further 18 MM100 2MW turbines will be used a three sites in Chaourse, Anguilcourt, and La Ville-aux-Bois-lès-Dizy in Picardy. It will be the first time MM100 low-wind turbines have been used in France.

It is the first deal between then two companies, which also sees Senvion provide maintenance at the sites for 15 years.

At the start of April, Senvion extended its working capital facilities by EUR 150 million to EUR 850 million after a loan deal was made with a German consortium led by Commerzbank and Deutsche Bank.
