The manufacturer will install 55 of its low-wind N117/2400 turbine on wind farms being developed by WPD Group, PNE Wind and Boreas Energie among others.
Due to the terms of the contracts, Nordex was unable to reveal project specifics. However, it said it will install and connect all of the new wind farms by the end of the year.
Nordex will also install four of its medium-wind N117/3000 turbines on the Sehestedt wind farm being developed by Denker and Wulf in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. On top of this there were sales for two more N117/3000s to an unnamed developer.
The German manufacturer moved into the top ten largest turbine manufacturers last year, according to consultants BTM, thanks in part to a strong showing from the N117/2400.
