The Spanish turbine manufacturer will supply the G97 turbines to the Myslino wind farm near the town of Goscino in the north-west of the country.

The project is set to be installed and commissioned by August 2014.

It is Gamesa's first contract with Energa, but the company has installed 635.4MW in Poland since entering the market in 2006.

The Polish wind sector has experienced some difficulties recently, with regulatory uncertainty hampering developments.

A new market framework is still to be finalised, but the new structure would result in lower prices for wind production, as auctions could be introduced for fixed-price tariffs.

Poland has a total of 3.39GW in wind energy capacity. However, the industry is being subsidised by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development while uncertainty lingers.

Energa is the third largest energy company in Poland with an approximate 17% share of the market.
