The German utility has made the first firm order for nine V112-3.3MW turbines for the 29.7MW extension of the Bandirma wind farm in the north-west of the country.

Deliveries of these turbines is expected in the fourth quarter with commissioning in the first quarter of 2015.

The Bandirma contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, as well as a five-year service agreement, extendable to ten years.

The first phase of the Bandirma project was commissioned in 2008 and is made up of 15 Vestas V90-3MW turbines.

The other projects are in earlier stages, with no solid orders placed yet. EnBW today signalled in its annual results that it is planning "significant expansion" in Turkey, citing this 207MW portfolio as key to realising its objectives.
