Gothaer provides EUR 150 million equity to Juwi IPP

GERMANY: German insurance company Gothaer is making up to EUR 150 million capital available to German wind developer Juwi's independent power producer sister company Juwi IPP.

The funds will go towards wind and solar station development over the next 20 years. The first EUR 50 million was made available for projects in December 2013 already.

Juwi has installed around 1.5GW of wind capacity around the world. Juwi IPP holds 450MW of wind and solar capacity, mainly in Germany.

It plans to more than double this to 1150MW within the next three years, concentrated mainly in Germany but also other European countries, it said 30th January 2014.
