Eneco and Mitsubishi Corporation's 50:50 owned development lies 23 kilometres off Noordwijk, west Netherlands, and will be supplied with 43 Vestas V112-3.0MW turbines.
Tekmar will work with NKT Cables, owned by NKT Holding, and South Korea’s LS Cable as the cable suppliers.
Van Oord will install 87 cable protection systems. These include seven bellmouths — a bell-shaped extension at the end of the cable — one for the export cable and six for array cables.
Onshore cabling work from Noordwijk beach to a transformer substation in Sassenheim started in October.
This is the third contract Tekmar has won from Van Oord for their work on Eneco Luchterduinen. The companies worked together on the design of the J-tubes for the offshore substation and the cables for the foundations.
Offshore work on Eneco Luchterduinen is due to start in June, with completion expected at the end of 2015.
