Vestas has installed the nacelle of its V164 prototype atop its 140-metre tower at its testing centre in Denmark.

The commissioning of the turbine is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2014, with preparations now being made to install the three 80-metre blades.
The nacelle is 20 metres long, eight metres wide and eight metres high. It weighs around 390 tonnes including the hub.
