Vestas receives 44MW Turkish order

TURKEY: Vestas has sold turbines with a capacity of 44MW to Kangal Elektrik Uretim for installation on a Turkish wind farm.

The Kangal Res wind farm will be the first to be developed by the Turkish utility and will feature V100-2MW turbines.

Installation of the machines at the project in Sivas province, central Turkey, is set to begin in the first quarter of 2014. Commissioning is due in the third quarter of the same year.

Vestas said that it has now delivered more than 600MW of turbines for installation on Turkish wind farms.
