Scottish vessel supplier Marineco UK's order will be delivered in 2014. British vessel owner Sure Wind, which specialises in the German offshore market, expects its first Twin Axel FCS 2610 to be delivered in the next few weeks and the second one in February.
Marineco UK will use the vessels to provide fuel supplies, carry out surveys, for diving work and to clean monopiles.
The vessel can reach speeds of up to 26 knots and has a 20,000-litre fuel tank enabling it to travel 1,200 nautical miles. It has four two-person sleeping cabins and can accommodate two six-metre containers and a 7.6-metre deck crane.Casper Vermeulen, Damen sales manager Europe, said: "The Twin Axe FCS 2610 provides a very comfortable ride even in challenging sea states with significant wave heights of 2.5 metres and above.
"These recent Twin Axe orders are proof that the concept is working for the industry. Although these four vessels have not been delivered yet, they have all been chartered out already."
