in July, the Spanish manufacturer revealed to Windpower Monthly that it had "already obtained orders" for the turbine for use in Finland. At the time it declined to name the customer or the size of the order.
Three turbines will be put in place on a site being developed by TuuliWatti in Salo, southern Finland.
The machines, which Gamesa says are specifically designed for cold climates, are set to be delivered in 2014, with the facility expected to be commissioned towards the end of the year.
The turbine has been developed from Gamesa's G128-4.5MW model, with which the company first made its move into the Finnish market in 2012.
It was originally developed mainly for offshore use, but Gamesa revealed earlier this year that it would also market it as an onshore product.
This contract is part of a framework agreement signed by the two parties at the end 2012 for the supply of 135MW in Finland.
TuuliWatti Oy is a wind energy joint venture between Finnish energy company St1 Oy and the national retail cooperative S-Group.
