MEXICO: Gamesa and the University of Istmo, in Oaxaca state, Mexico, have signed an agreement to provide a wind turbine operation and maintenance course.

The four-month course, run by the university’s professors and Gamesa specialists, provides students with practical and theoretical knowledge of the wind industry.

The study programme, free for participants, is targeted at the local population to meet the anticipated demand for jobs in the region’s wind sector.

Gamesa will provide wind turbine parts for students to learn on including the nacelle, generator, cells, control cabinets and gearboxes.
