The project, which is part of the Crown Estate Scottish territorial waters licensing programme, will be built in the outer Firth of Tay, with up to 213 turbines covering an area of 150 square kilometres.
Key features of the project mentioned in the consent application include a National Grid connection agreement for a 1.05GW project at Cockenzie, East Lothian, and a maximum turbine blade tip height of 215 metre above lowest astronomical tide.

"It represents another major step towards development of offshore wind power in the outer Firth of Tay, delivering opportunities for communities in the surrounding area to benefit from the investment, which is expected to deliver up to 1,600 Scottish jobs during construction.
