The turbine manufacturer signed the operation and maintenance (O&M) deal with Italian developer Veronagest to service turbines with a combined installed capacity of 234MW.
The company will perform maintenance services on 70 Gamesa 2MW turbines and 111 Gamesa 850kW turbines
All turbines will be installed with Gamesa software aimed at improving the efficiency of the machines. Gamesa claims the software brings design and process improvements that maximise turbine availability and can lower a wind farm's operating expenses by up to 10%.
