The seven turbines, with a combined total capacity of 31.5MW, will be installed at the Tornio wind farm in Finland. Gamesa will deliver the turbines in 2014.

This contract is included in the framework agreement signed in 2012 with developer TuuliWatti for delivering 135MW to four wind farms in the country. At the end of last year, both companies signed an agreement to supply 18MW of Gamesa 4.5MW turbines to the Simo wind farm and to perform operation and maintenance (O&M) services for ten years, with an option to extend the contract for another five years; plus a new order to deliver 54MW to the Pori wind farm in 2013 and 2014.

The Simo wind farm's turbines will be the largest and highest-capacity turbines installed to date in Finland.
