The order is for 17 V100 2MW low wind speed turbines to be installed on the Palazzo San Gervasio wind farm. Installation is set for the second half of this year.
Speaking about the deal, Vestas chief sales officer Juan Araluce said it was the company's first project in the region to use V100 turbines.
However, Vestas signed a deal with FRI-EL Green Power for eight V112 3MW turbines in September to go to the Gorgoglione project in Basilicata.
Earlier this month, ERG became the largest owner of wind projects in Italy after it acquired 636MW in wind farms from French utility GDF Suez.
