Iberdrola's brings three projects online

UNITED STATES: Iberdrola has commissioned three new wind farms in the US, totalling more than 265MW of installed capacity.

The three projects are Manzana (California), Groton (New Hampshire) and Hoosac (Massachusetts).

The Manzana wind power complex is one of the company's largest wind farm facilities in the world, with an installed capacity of 189MW. It is located in Kern County, close to the towns of Rosamond and Tehachapi and comprises 126 GE 1.5MW turbines. 

The 48MW Groton wind farm is in the town of Groton in Grafton County. It is equipped with 24 Gamesa G87 2MW turbines with a hub height of 78 metres.

Finally, the 28.5MW Hoosac wind farm is located in the municipalities of Florida and Monroe in Berkshire County.  This facility has 19 GE 1.5MW turbines with a hub height of 65 metres.

With over 5.7GW of installed capacity on its books, Iberdrola is the second largest operator in the US renewables sector.
