Nordex wins 45MW order for Turkey

TURKEY: German turbine maker Nordex has received two orders worth a total of 45MW for two projects in Turkey.

The largest purchase is a 30MW deal from Edincik Electrik for a project in Edincik, close to the Marmara Sea in the south of the country.

The second contract is a 15MW extension to the Susurluk wind farm in the western province of Balikesir. The project capacity is currently at 45MW and is owned by the Eksim Group.

Both orders are for the N100/2500 turbine and are set to be installed by mid-2013. According to Windpower Intelligence, Nordex has 532MW online in Turkey.
