In his new role, Hammer will be responsible for research and development at Moventas centres in Finland and Germany. He will report to Moventas CEO Mikael Laine and be based in the German R&D office.
At Siemens, Hammer worked as a consultant for engineering in supply chain management. Previously, he worked for Siemens' mechanical drive division.
Moventas was acquired late last year by venture capitalist and buyer of power and industrial companies Clyde Blowers for €100 million.

FINLAND: Gear manufacturer Moventas has appointed Siemens senior consultant Niels Hammer as senior vice president for technology.
