Gamesa wins 30MW deal in Italy

ITALY: Gamesa today announced it had signed a deal to supply 15 of its G90-2.0 MW turbines to a project being developed by Japanese giant Toshiba in southern Italy.

The deal is the first the Spanish turbine maker has made with Toshiba's wind development arm, Toshiba Europe T&D. Gamesa will supply turbines totalling 30MW to Toshiba's Eolica Erchie project in the Province of Brindisi, Puglia Region.

Gamesa expects that the installation of the wind turbines will be started before the end of the year.

Once operational, the wind farm is expected to reach an annual production of 69 GWh.
 
The number of Gamesa's turbines in Italy have a combined total installed capacity of 1,506MW.
