Wobben has transferred his shares to the family trust to preserve the independence of the company into the long term and ensure that corporate strategy "will be permanently focussed on sustainability and a future oriented outlook," according to a Trust statement.
The plan to create the trust was originally announced by Enercon on 26 April.
The Trust board of management includes Enercon managing director Hans-Dieter Kettwig, Nicole Fritsch-Nehring as vice-chairwoman and Simon-Hermann Wobben as board member.
Enercon's management board has been altered with Fritsch-Nehring appointed as a second managing director and Enercon sales director Stefan Lütkemeyer as procurist, that is with the status of authorised signatory for the company. Wobben himself is retiring from active business on health grounds.
