Nordex said the deal is for 111 N117 low wind 2.5MW turbines to be installed in projects across Finland from 2013 onwards.
If all the turbines are installed, Finland's current installed wind capacity would be more than doubled. According to the Windpower Monthly's Windicator, Finland currently has 197MW connected to the grid.
According the Nordex, Taaleritehdas has raised the funding through a retail fund of over 200 investors. The turbine manufacturer said the service history of its Scandinavian-based turbines enabled it to pick up the deal.
According to Windpower Intelligence this is the first project Nordex has supplied in Finland. Since 2009, it has installed just under 100MW in Sweden since 2009, across seven projects.
Nordex director Lars Bondo Krogsgaard said: "Our anti-icing system is meeting with great interest in Scandinavia as it can boost energy yields by up to 10% in these low-temperature regions. This contract marks an important reference for our sustained growth in the high-potential Finnish market."
