The Glötesvålen wind farm will use 30 V90 3MW turbines and is owned by furniture retailer Ikea. Installation of the project is set to be completed by January 2015. The deal includes a 15-year service agreement.
It is Ikea's largest purchase of wind turbines to date. The company owns around 100MW of projects in Sweden, Germany and France.
This is Vestas' first order in Sweden this year. In 2011, it received several orders for both the V90 and V112 turbines, including a framework agreement from Eolus Vind for 180MW.
Having so far escaped the worst of the eurozone's economic crisis, Sweden saw its wind-energy capacity grow by about 744MW last year. Around 6.1TWh of Sweden's total electricity was generated by wind in 2011, an increase of over 70% on the previous year.
