The deals cover 22 turbines totalling 55MW across two projects in Scotland and five projects in England. Nordex has already booked 11 of the turbines as a firm order intake in the first quarter of 2012 and received orders for a further 11 in May.
In Scotland, five N80/2500 turbines will be installed at the Gordonstown Hill wind farm and five N90/2500 turbines at the Westfield wind farm. A further 12 2.5MW machines will be installed in England at the Wingates, Blackstone Edge and Tedder Hill wind farms.
Construction work is to commence this year, with all 22 turbines to start feeding clean electricity into the grid by March 2013 at the latest.
