Suzlon will supply 12 S95 2.1MW turbines for the project, which is scheduled to be built by December 2013. It is a repeat order for Suzlon.
The S95 is part of Suzlon's S9X range of turbines, an evolution of its S88 2.1MW turbine. The new range consists of the S95 and the S97, which are designed to work in class 2 or class 3 wind conditions respectively.
Speaking about the deal, Servtec chairman Lauro Fiuza said: "Suzlon is a market leader in Brazil and has immense experience of wind markets in emerging economies. We are confident to work with them in this second enterprise, they are the right partners for us in expanding our renewable energy-footprint in Brazil."
In 2010, Servtec brought 107MW into commercial operation as part of its Parque Bons Ventos Aracati wind farm in the north-eastern state of Ceara.
The first 57MW came into operation in January, and 50MW in February. Both phases use Suzlon S88 2.1MW turbines.
