Offshore foundation contract awarded to Crist

POLAND:The Crist shipyard located in Gdansk, Poland, has been awarded a contract with several foreign companies to deliver jacket foundations for offshore wind farms planned in the German area of the North Sea.

The facility in Szczecin will be built in co-operation with Polish state-owned agency Agencja Rozwoju Przemyslu SA (ARP) which is financing the new enterprise. The facility will be located in Gryfia Shipyard owned by ARP.

"We plan that one third of the contract will be realised in Gdynia, and the rest in Szczecin," a spokesman said. The company was unable to reveal the name of the customer.

The production in Gdynia will take place in the Crist shipyard, which already has invested PLN 20 million. The contract will run for approximately three years.
