Nordex will supply 35 N100 2.5MW machines for the Hawkeye Wind Farm (37.5MW) in Fayette County and Rippey Wind Farm (50MW) in Green County.
Delivery is scheduled for May 2012 with commissioning due by October 2012. A 12-year service contract is included.
The Iowa order follows Nordex's decision to lower its sales and earnings forecast for 2011. It said the European debt crisis had resulted in the postponement of projects due to the difficulty in providing finance
According to the October's Windpower Monthly Windicator, Iowa has an installed wind power capacity of 3,702MW.
