The deal consists of an order for 77 V100 1.8MW turbines. These will go to the Palouse (104.4MW) and Bull Hill (34.2MW) projects in Washington and Maine respectively.
Delivery is set for mid-2012 with commissioning to follow at the end of the year. The contract includes a 10-year service agreement.
The turbines will also be covered by Vestas’ ‘Active Output Management (AOM5000) programme, which offers an energy-based guarantee rather than time-base availability guarantee.
The V100 is one of Vestas’ low wind speed turbines. Recent US orders includes projects in Texas and Michigan.
