The 10-year agreement with Caterpillar subsidiary Cat Reman covers Vestas’ global operations. Remanufacturing will begin in Caterpillar’s US facilities, with Europe and Asia to follow.
Vestas said the agreement would cover "minor components and sub-component repair".
Speaking about the deal, Phil Jones, president of Vestas’ Spare Parts & Repair division said: "The agreement with Caterpillar shows Vestas’ commitment to creating high-quality and cost-competitive solutions while at the same time doing it in the most sustainable way possible."
