Apex agrees offshore development deal with Maersk

UNITED STATES: Apex Offshore Wind and Maersk Line (MLL) have agreed to jointly develop offshore wind projects in the US.

Apex claims its management team has developed over 5GW of projects in the US. In terms of offshore, Apex has recently been involved in proposals to build off North Carolina and on the Great Lakes.

However, both of these projects were cancelled.

Apex is also a founding member of the Offshore Wind Development Coalition (OffshoreWindDC), which aims to "focus on advocacy and education efforts to promote offshore wind energy".

Speaking about the deal, MLL vice president of business Greg Moore said: "In Apex, we’ve found a partner that shares our values and entrepreneurial spirit, and that is committed to bringing this promising new energy resource to the continent."
