Poland launches 82MW wind tender

POLAND: Megawatt Marszewo, a subsidiary of Tauron Ekoenergia controlled by Polish power company Tauron Polska Energia, has announced a tender for two projects in northern Poland.

The tender is for 41 2MW turbines. They are for the Marszewo I and II wind farms, which will be located in Postomino county.

The first wind farm will comprise 19 turbines and the latter 21 turbines.

The total height of Marszewo I towers (plus rotor) will vary from 100 to 140 metres. The Marszewo II project's height will be 140 metres.

The company assessed the value of contract at over 400 PLN million (€100 million).

According to the July's Windpower Monthly Windicator, Poland had a wind capacity of 1180MW.
