The order is for 17 V100 1.8MW turbines, which will be installed on the Eppodum Venran project. The V100 is designed for low to medium wind sites.
Delivery is expected to begin at the end of the year while the project is expected to be brought online by early 2012. The deal includes a 10-year service agreement.
Last year, Tamil Nadu came in tenth place in Windpower Monthly’s survey of the top 10 wind energy ‘power places’. Around 42% of all wind installations in India are to be found in the state.
