Repower wins 80MW EDF Quebec project

CANADA: Repower has been handed an 80MW deal by EDF Energies Nouvelles for an 80MW project in Quebec.

Repower will be supplying 40 of its 2MW turbines to the 80MW Saint-Robert-Bellarmin project between the cities of Lac-Mégantic and Saint-Georges-de-Beauce.

The order is part of a supply agreement signed between EDF and Repower in 2009.

Recently, 30MW of Repower turbines will be used on the Ganaraska and Whispering Woods projects in Ontario. The order is with Wind Works Power Corp.

Speaking about the deal, Repower CEO Andreas Nauen said: "Our cold climate version of the Repower MM series perfectly suits the conditions we found at Canadian wind farm sites."
