Plans for the wind farms - 44 MW Mesihovina, 32 MW Velika Vlajna, 72 MW Poklecani, and 52 MW Borova Glava - were presented at the International Economy Fair in Mostar in April.
Preparatory work on the Mesihovina wind farm, the country’s first, started at the end of last year.
Located in the municipality of Tomislavgrad, on the northern ridge of the mountain Midena, it will have a capacity of 44-66MW and produce 128-146 GWh of electricity annually.
Mostar-based Elektroprivreda currently imports two thirds of the energy it needs.
