The blades, which will be used on Goldwind’s 1.5MW direct drive turbines, will be supplied from LM’s Grand Forks facility in North Dakota.
This is the second deal Goldwind has handed to US manufacturing plants in two weeks. Last week, the company announced Broadwind would be supplying the project’s towers.
Goldwind has a 20-year PPA with ComEd to provide electricity from Shady Oaks.

The order marks LM’s second North American collaboration with Goldwind following the installation of LM blades on Goldwind’s initial US-based project in Pipestone, Minnesota.
