St-Pierre will head Nordex’s sales effort in the North American market. In addition to Alstom, she has previously been sales director with Siemens Windpower America.

Speaking about the appointment, Nordex USA CEO Ralf Sigrist said: "Her past accomplishments and drive fit very well with the Nordex style. And her industry experience will help take our unique value proposition of technical reliability and customer focus to wind developers nationwide."

Recently, Nordex has increased its actvities in the US.

Nordex started production in Arkansas, its first US plant, in October. It also won orders at the end of the year for projects in Idaho, Pennsylvania and Iowa.

Last month, the company announced 2010 sales of €972 million, a 17.7% fall on the previous year. The company said its position was lifted by a strong fourth quarter where it received €358 million in sales.
